¡Hola!
Hello! Few days ago I was invited by Zalando to spend a weekend at their #zalandosummerhouse I gladly accepted the invitation. The idea of doing something with Zalando and with other international bloggers was really appealling. Also, it was the best way to start the blogging season, start working and having fun at the same time. What a better combination? I tell you the story through my iphone pictures. I hope you enjoy it!
Arriving at the city had no complications. As soon as I arrived I ask the car driver to stop by a supermarket. I needed to get... can you guess what? Toothpaste! It is a classic, right? As soon as I got into the supermarket I fell in love with their sweet section. OMG! It was unbelievable. I could be so happy living in Berlin for that reason. ☺ They offered a huge variety of sweet things but, for not understandable reason, I ended up getting some raisins covered in chocolate. Weird, uh? They were delicious.
Once in the car, while I was I was looking through the window to the amazing landscape, I took a #selfie to kill some time. Hahaha! #dontknowwhatthecardriverthoughtaboutthis The trip was kind of long since the house was in the middle of nowhere, countryside.
Once I arrived everything was great and I was completely amazed by the beauty of that house/castle... So bucolic and relaxing. It was great. Most of the other colleges were already there enjoying a barbeque outside. Everything was so good and I felt so happy when I went to bed. The bed was as big as in princess stories. I have never slept in such a huge room. It was very spacious, decorated with style and full of pieces of art.
The bath was amazing too. It doesn't look that good to share a bathroom picture but I am going to do it since it was really special. You know I am a huge fan of home decor and that I am always dreaming about my dream home. So everything I saw was very inspiring and gave me a lot of good ideas. You can see more pictures in yesterday's post.
There was art all over. The owner was a collector and it was very delightful to look at the walls.
Floral decor was amazing too. There were fresh flowers all over and really beautifully arranged.
First thing we did on the first day was taking a yoga class. As I told you in this video, I want to practice yoga this year so this was a great start. We took the class in the middle of the countryside with a magical silence and just the yoga music in the background.
Afterwards, we had a good breakfast outside. It was delicious!
After that, a day full of activities started. The first thing we did was meeting the German designer Tim Labenda, that just launched a collection in collaboration with Zalando. He explained us the process of creating a collection and his inspiration.
Then a lot of different DIY workshops were ready. Mint & Berry had sketched us and we had to paint ourselves with watercolors. Everybody was so relaxed painting that I tried myself. Anyway I concluded the same thing I have concluded before: I was definitely not born to be a painter. :), but it was really fun.
I also took the chance to take some outfit pictures for the blog. In such a beautiful place and with no kids to take care of it was a great opportunity to get some work done. The good thing was that I had a lot of colleges around that could help me. I like how as bloggers we understand each other: we know what we need and what is it for, so it is really easy. I take the opportunity to thank Kenza, Katrin and Janni for their help with the pictures.
In the late afternoon L'Oreal team came to do our hair and make-up. It was a lot of fun too.
At night we had a wonderful dinner. The table was beautifully decorated. I couldn't capture with the camera how beautiful it was. I took so many good ideas... After dinner we had some piña colada and a little bit of dancing.
On the next day some activities continued but it was time to leave. I came back really happy. There is nothing more inspiring than meeting people from other countries, that have different lives than yours, with other dreams, stories, and ways of looking at live so different and creative. It has been an amazing experience.
For all this I would like to thank the Zalando team for having thought of me for this experience. Thanks to Samira, Helena, Bastian, Katja, Judith and Marta for their great job and for taking such a good care of us during the whole time and for their hard work.
