Los estilismos tal y como los veis en las fotos no explican por qué favorecen a las personas anchas de caderas, pero si veis el VÍDEO, se entiende bien. MY SECRET STORE / MI TIENDA SECRETA

Hola chicas. Pues si es secreta, no os lo debería contar, ¿no? Pero es que ya no existe nuestra tienda secreta. ;) Uno de los grandes tesoros que me dejó mi vida en Los Angeles fueron las grandes amigas y amigos que hice. Con mis amigas hacíamos plan de shopping a menudo. Un día con Jimena nos aventuramos al Bevery Center y descubrimos una tienda mágica. Totalmente diferente a lo que encuentras en ese mall, que son grandes marcas y cadenas. En esa tienda compramos piezas diferentes, piezas únicas que nunca decíamos de dónde las habíamos sacado. Y así hicimos muchas veces el plan de ir a nuestra tienda secreta donde nos vestíamos como queríamos y nadie iba igual que nosotras. Este vestido es de esa tienda. Vosotras, ¿tenéis alguna tienda secreta? No me la digáis. ;)

Hello everyone. If it is a secret, I shouldn't talk about it, right? But the thing is that our secret store doesn't exist anymore. ;) One of the things that my life in L.A. gave me is a bunch of wonderful friends. With my friends we used to go shopping pretty often. One day, me and Jimena went to the Beverly Center and found a special store, completely different to what you see in those malls with big chains and brands. In that store we bought unique and special pieces and never told others where we got them. We went many times to the store where we could dress as we liked and no one else was wearing the same. This dress belongs to the secret store. And you, do you have a secret store? Don't tell me. ;)

MY SECOND EXPERIENCE SHOPPING ONLINE / MI SEGUNDA COMPRA ONLINE

Hola chicas! Después de ver las adquisiciones que hacías en ASOS.COM me animé a comprarme alguna cosita. Para las que podáis tener alguna duda sobre el tallaje, os digo mis conclusiones:

Talla 4: XS; Talla 6: S (ajustadita); Talla 8: S más holgada; Talla 10: M; Talla 12: M más holgada; Talla 14: L más justita; Talla 16: L más holgada… Y así sucesivamente hasta la talla 20. No sé, eso es lo que me ha parecido a mí.

Estoy contenta con lo que me compré, sin embargo tengo algunos “PEROS” que comento en el VIDEO, donde parece que aspiro a política.;) Además hablo de más conclusiones sobre las tallas, que quizás puedan seros de utilidad

Hello girls! After seeing some of you getting super nice things at ASOS.COM I decided to visit the online store myself For the ones that may have some doubts about sizes, here go my conclusions:

Size 4: XS; Size 6: S (tight); Size 8: S but a bit looser; Size 10: M; Size: 12: M but looser; Size 14: L tigther; Size: 16: looser L … and so on until size 20. At least, this is the impression that I got.

I am happy with what I bought, however I have some CONs that I explain in the VIDEO, where I also look like a political candidate. ;) I also give you more conclusions about the sizes that may be of interest.

WALKING WITH MY PUPPIES / DE PASEO CON MIS PERRITOS

Hola chicas. Antes de hablaros del look de esta semana me gustaría animaros a que donéis dinero para HAITI. Supongo que os habrán afectado tanto como a mí las imágenes vividas la semana pasada. Gracias a Internet podemos dar un poco de dinero rápidamente a diferentes organizaciones. Os animo a que os preguntéis: ¿Del dinero que tengo y con mis condiciones, cuánto podría dar YO a esta causa?

Y sin querer sonar superficial, ahora cambio de tema os hablo de este vestido que me compré en Estambul. Como veis no tiene nada que ver con los collares del post anterior. Últimamente cuando he viajado he tenido la suerte de encontrar tiendas que venden ropa de diseñador a unos precios buenísimos. Les cortan un poco la etiqueta, imagino que para que parezcan muestras, pero no son muestras. Yo me encariñé de este vestido de Dolce & Gabanna. ¿Os gusta?

Now I am going to talk about this dress that I got in Istanbul. As you can see it has nothing to do with the necklaces from the last post. Lately when I have traveled I have been very lucky to find stores that sell designer clothes at a very good price. They cut the label, I guess to pretend that they are samples, but they are not. I saw this Dolce & Gabanna dress that I loved. Do you like it?

BARGAIN SHOPPING AT THE GRAND BAZAAR IN ISTANBUL

Hola chicas. Estas Navidades he tenido el gusto de visitar Estambul. Nos fuimos mi marido y yo y dejamos por primera vez a la niña con los abuelos. Nos acordamos mucho de ella, pero también lo pasamos bien. He aprendido muchas cosas de este viaje entre otras la capacidad negociadora de los turcos. Es impresionante como les va el vender, los trucos que utilizan (frases en español tipo: “Más barato que El Corte Inglés” o “Incluso mejor que Carrefour”, “Aquí engañamos menos que los de al lado”, “Hoy engañamos menos que mañana”…) y como consiguen darte pena o hacerte creer que te llevas el mejor deal. Así que os podéis imaginar que a una, a la que por naturaleza no le da ningún reparo comprar, le vendieron de todo.

Os animo a que pinchéis el VIDEO y recorráis conmigo el Gran Bazar y así al menos lo conozcáis.

Hello girls. At Christmas I had the pleasure to visit Istanbul. I went with my husband and we left our little one with the grandparents for the first time. We missed her a lot but we had a blast. I have learned many things in this trip among which I would like to highlight the Turkish ability to sell and negotiate. It is really impressive how much they like selling, the tricks that they use (really funny sentences in every language), and how they manage to make you feel sorry for them or make you think that you are getting the best deal ever. So you can imagine what a good target they had with a person like myself, with a natural tendency to buy.

I encourage you to click on the VIDEO and walk with me through the tunnels of the Grand Bazaar. This way at least you see what it looks like.

Hola chicas. Aquí me veis con mi “boyfriend jacket”. Me ha costado conseguirla y al final lo he hecho de la manera que menos hubiera pensado. Me había probado varias en tiendas pero no me quedaban bien. También probé con algunas de mi marido, pero aunque se llamen así, no es que cualquier americana de tu chico te vaya a quedar bien. Ya me hubiera gustado. ;) Al final, me metí en Asos y la encontré. Y sin probar ni nada y, costando lo que costaba, me atreví y me la compré. Cuando recibí el paquete (os hablaré en otro post) me llevé una grata sorpresa y me quedaba tal y como me lo había imaginado. ¿A vosotras os ha dado por este tipo de americanas?

Hello everyone. Here you can see me wearing my new 'boyfriend jacket'. It took me a while to get one and I end up getting it in the least expected way I ever would have thought of. I have tried some on in the stores. But they didn’t work. I also tried my husband's but despite the name, it doesn't mean that those necessarily fit you. In the end, I found it in Asos In spite of the price and the fact that I couldn't try it on, I bought it. When I received the package (I'll talk about it in another post) I was glad to see that the fitting was as expected. And you, do you like boyfriend jackets?

Aquí va otra muestra de lo mucho que me inspiráis con vuestros posts. Después de ver cómo algunas sacáis partido a la ropa de vuestras parejas, amigos y hermanos, he decidido hacer un post con ropa que he sacado del armario de mi marido, mezclada con cosas mías, claro. Aunque por un tema de tamaños no es del todo perfecto, sin duda, es una manera de tener más ropa a coste cero. ;-) Así que a ver qué os parece y espero que os animéis que las relaciones necesitan conflicto. ;-)

Here goes another post that shows how much you inspire me with your posts. After seeing some of you wearing your husband, boyfriend or brother's clothes, I decided to do a post using clothes I have borrowed from my husband's closet. Of course, I had to mix it with some of my clothes. Although, due to size difference, the combos are not perfect, there is no doubt that it is a good way of getting new clothes at no cost. ;-) So I encourage you to try it since you know that conflicts are necessary in a relationship. ;-)

DRESSING VINTAGE

¡Hola! Lo primero Feliz Año a aquellas que no os lo haya felicitado todavía. Espero que vuestros sueños y metas se hagan realidad. Yo creo que este 2010 promete mucho. Aquí estamos de vuelta después de unos días de descanso en los que he desconectado de la rutina y he conectado con los seres queridos.

Este vestido me lo compré en una tienda vintage llamada de forma muy original, Madrid Vintage. ;) Me lo compré hace un mes pensando en ponérmelo el día de Navidad. Y lo intenté. Me lo puse, pero no llegué a salir de casa. Mi familia me paró y me dijo que a dónde iba con ese vestido. Y la verdad es que no me veía bien y decidí cambiarlo por el look 2 que me puse para la fiesta con amigos.

Pero claro, me daba mucha rabia habérmelo comprado y no ser capaz de sacarle partido. Así que el otro día me lo puse de nuevo, me tapé con un abrigo para que nadie me dijera nada y me fui con mi marido y mi niña a pasear. Lo que más complicado se me hace es la largura (y eso que lo corté) y la forma del encaje al estilo doncella. Me pica tanto el ver si es posible sacar partido a un vestido así, tan fuera de época y con estos toques de antiguo, que prometo hacer un vídeo sobre ello. ¿Será posible crear varios looks? Ya lo veremos. NO OS OLVIDEIS DEL SORTEO DEL ANTERIOR POST.

Hello. First of all, Happy New Year to all of you. I wish your dreams and goals come true in 2010 since I believe it is going to be a fantastic year. Here I am back after few days of breaking with the routine and getting together with the loved ones.

This is a vintage dress that I bought in the creatively called store, Vintage Madrid. ;) I bought it about a month ago thinking that I could wear it in Christmas Day. In fact, I did wear it although for just a few minutes. My family saw me before we left home and asked what I was thinking wearing that dress. Since I wasn’t feeling very comfortable on it either, I decided to change my clothes and I ended up wearing the look number 2 that I wore for the party with my friends.

Anyway, I was feeling annoyed with the fact that I wasn’t being able to pull it off. So the other day I tried it again. I put a long black coat on top so no one could stop me and went for a walk with my husband and our little one. I think it is the length (even if I shorten it already) and the maid-like look what feels weird about this dress. I have decided that I want to check how I could take the most out of a dress like this that looks so out of time and old. So I will shoot a special video soon. Could it be possible to create different looks? We’ll see. DON´T FORGET THE GIVEAWAY IN MY PREVIOUS POST.
