Bubble Skirt / Falda Globo

No sé vosotras, pero yo tengo varias faldas negras. Se ha convertido en un básico en mi armario fácilmente combinable. Hoy voy a hablar de una falda muy especial y es mi nueva adquisición: una falda abullonada de la marca SIETE MUSAS. Patricia es la diseñadora detrás de la marca que no sólo crea sino que además tiene su propia tienda en Granada donde vende sus colecciones. Si le echáis un ojo veréis que son piezas básicas y de un corte sencillo a las que ella añade siempre detalles que le dan la vuelta. Admiro mucho a la gente como Patricia. Levantar tu propia marca tiene un mérito impresionante.

Algún día os contaré pero yo tuve durante unos años mi propia marca y fue muy bonito aunque supuso mucho trabajo. Creo que Navidad puede ser una buena época para enseñaros mi antiguo blog que, como el de Siete Musas, recogía las piezas que iba diseñando y los mercados a los que asistía. Prometo hacer un sorteo entonces.

I don’t know about you, but I have several black skirts in my closet. It has become a must have item since it is very easy to mix with other pieces. Today I am going to talk about a very special one. It is a bubble skirt from SIETE MUSAS. Patricia is the designer behind the brand and she not only designs but also has her own store in Granada, Spain. If you have a look at it you will see that her pieces have a simple cut and they always incorporate a cute detail that makes them unique. I really admire people like Patricia. Building your own brand is really commendable.

I had my own brand for some years. One day I will tell you about it. It was a great experience although it required a lot of work. I think that Christmas could be a good time to show you my old blog in which, like Siete Musas, I wrote about my new creations and the markets that I visited. I promise I will do some give aways then.

Mojitos & Cardigans

Hola. No puedo agradeceros más vuestros consejos sobre qué ponerme para la fiesta. He seguido vuestras opiniones y al final por mayoría salió el Look 2 y ese es el que me puse. Tengo que deciros que originalmente era el que menos pensaba en llevar y fijaros, cómo os escucho. La fiesta fue increíble. Hubo lágrimas de risa y de emoción y también muchos mojitos y bailes. Nos quedamos en casa hasta las 5:30 am con la música a tope y de momento, nadie ha dicho nada. Qué majos los vecinos. Varios amigos se quedaron a dormir en casa y ayer comida otra vez con todos. Ojalá podamos repetir más. Os dejo con alguna foto de la fiesta. No quiero sacar a la gente por respetar su intimidad.

Hello everyone. I can’t thank you enough for your advice on what to wear to the party. I have followed your comments and finally look 2 was the winner. And I wore it. I have to say that originally I wasn’t planning on wearing that one at all, but I really value your point of view. The party was amazing. We cried laughing and remembered old times. There were plenty of mojitos and we danced non-stop. We were at home partying till 5:30 a.m. and no one has said anything yet. Nice neighbors! I wish we could get together more often. I leave you with a few pictures of the party although I want to respect my friends’ privacy.

¡Hola! Este fin de semana tengo una fiesta muy esperada donde reunimos en casa a unos 40 amigos de nuestra época en Los Angeles. Son amigos muy especiales porque cuando se está lejos de casa, las uniones son todavía más fuertes. Estoy muy emocionada y contando las horas ya que va a ser muy especial recordar viejos tiempos, momentos, bailes, situaciones... También hemos montado un concurso de karaoke y a ver qué tal sale. Los vecinos están avisados porque nadie nos va a parar!! ;)

Me gustaría que me aconsejaráis sobre qué modelito veis mejor para la ocasión.

Hello everyone! This weekend I have a special party where we gather around 40 friends that we met in Los Angeles when we lived there. They are very special friends because when you are far from home the bonds become stronger. I am very excited since we will be remembering old stuff, songs, situations, party times… We have also organized a karaoke contest so it is going to be a lot of fun. We have already told our neighbors since we don´t want anyone to stop us. In the USA it used to be the police… In Spain people don´t usually go that far.

Hola. Aquí va un look cómodo para esos días de fin de semana donde lo único que te apetece es sentirte cómoda. Aunque no se aprecia, lo que me gustó de esta camisa es que es reversible y por el otro lado tiene animal print en color gris y negro. Como veis llevo unos calentadores. El 2006 fue mi año calentadores. Estuve en Japón y todas las chicas los llevaban con una gracia… así que me compré un montón. A mí me encantan cómo visten las chicas japonesas. Hello, everyone. Here goes a look for those days when all that you want is to feel comfortable. Although you can hardly see it, this shirt is reversible and on the other side it has an animal print in grey and black. As you can see I am wearing some leg warmers. In 2006 I was obsessed with leg warmers after my trip to Japan where all the girls were wearing them. I love the way Japanese people dress. They all have a genuine and wild style. MAC make up seminars

Hola chicas. Este vídeo es de los cursos que dio Mac en Madrid en octubre. Era una clase de una hora que recomiendo a todas. Yo aprendí muchísimo. Eso sí, no he conseguido volver a reproducir el look a pesar de lo bien que me lo explico la maquilladora Alejandra. Abajo os pongo los productos que me compré y que os recomiendo.

Hello there. Here goes a video of a make up class that I attended at Mac Cosmetics. I didn´t have the time to subtitle the video but I think it is pretty self explanatory. Anyway I am going to recommend you the products that I discovered from MAC.

1. MY FAVORITE FROM ALL MAKE UP HISTORY, really: Dip Down Fluid line. It is a liquid eyeliner. It got color brown and I am really happy.



2. Brush 266: I had doubts about getting it or not but it is essential to apply the eyeliner.



3. Painterly Paint Pot: A creamy kind of eye shadow that evens the skin tone of the eyelid and makes the other shadows last longer. Perfect for me since I have dark zones in my eyes.



4. Satin Taupe Frost Eye Shadow: A beautiful shadow with a color between brown and eggplant.

Mixing Silver and Gold/ Mezclar Plata con Dorado

Los colores plata y dorado son unos winners en mi armario. Me encantan. Son mis colores favoritos porque sin quererlo añaden un toque especial a cualquier combinación que me ponga. He tenido varios zapatos dorados y varios plata y siempre los machaco. Y lo mismo con el resto de la ropa. Me gusta también mezclarlos entre sí y por qué no, si se puede, con el bronce y así tenemos a los tres campeones.  ¿Cuáles son vuestros colores preferidos?

Este vestido que veis, es de la diseñadora Silvia Calles que descubrí en el Nómada Market de Madrid. Su ropa me llamó mucho la atención y espero repetir.

Gold and silver are two winning colors in my closet. I adore them. They are my favorite colors since they quietly add a magic touch to every outfit that I wear. I have had gold and silver shoes and they always end up wasted. And it is the same with the clothes. I also like pairing them together and why not, with bronze too. Then we have the three Winners. Which are your beloved colors?

This dress is from a young designer that I meet at a market in Spain. Her name is Silvia Calles. Her clothes are stunning and I will go back for more.

This week I happily received The Divine Blog award from Evqua. She is the sweetest thing and has a fun blog with great pictures and videos. She now started translating her post in English so she made it easier for us.

A while ago I also received this award from Antoine from Florilege d Esthete. He is an online poet. He writes concise and deep posts in a beautiful poetic tone. Something that we need in this sometime frivoulous world.

Esta semana he recibido el premio Divine Blog de parte de Evqua. Es la cosa más dulce y me encanta su blog divertido y con fotos y vídeos geniales. Acaba de empezar a traducir sus post al inglés así que nos lo pone más fácil para seguirla.

Hace un tiempo también Antoine de Florilege d Esthete me dio este premio. No sé si lo conocéis pero es un auténtico poeta. Escribe en un lenguaje muy bonito, conciso y profundo. Algo que hace falta en este mundo a veces un poco frívolo.

MY MOM´S CLOSET/ EL ARMARIO DE MI MADRE

Para este post he visitado el armario de mi madre... Me imagino que muchas de vosotras soléis cogerle cositas por aquí y por allá. Yo lo suelo hacer, pero lo que nunca había hecho es vestirme al completo con su ropa. Y eso sí que me ha parecido complicado. Mucho. Bueno, en cada look he añadido una cosita de mi armario que si no, era imposible. De lo que más orgullosa estoy es del collar del primer look. Lo he hecho a partir de dos collares de perlas y 3 broches.

This time I have paid a visit to my mother´s closet. I can imagine that you have been there too and borrowed pieces from her. I usually get some items but this time I have dressed totally with her clothes. I have only incorporated one thing from my closet in each look. I never thought it was going to be that hard. What I am really proud of is the necklace that I created out of two pearl necklaces and 3 old brooches. Check out the video to see the whole process.

The use of promotional T-shirts / Darle uso a las camisetas promocionales

Hola. Aquí estamos de nuevo. Esta vez, me veis con una camiseta de éstas que te regalan las marcas de bebidas, de cámaras, de medicamentos, la carnicería de debajo de casa… Esta camiseta era del padre de mi marido y mi marido se la suele poner para dormir. Es un honor para mí habérmela puesto y aquí va el look que se me ocurrió. Como veis me queda muy grande, pero en eso mismo le encontré la gracia. Me la ajusté con un cinturón y le provoqué unos fruncidos. ¿Qué hacéis con este tipo de camisetas?

Hello everyone! Here I am again. This time I made my outfit using one of those promotional T- shirts that you get from beverage brands, NGOs, the grocery store across the street… This T-shirt was from my husband’s father and my husband wears it to sleep. It was an honor for me to wear it. As you can see it’s pretty big but that is exactly what I liked about it. I wore a belt to tighten it and also created some pleats around my waist. What do you usually do with this kind of T-shirt?
